What the audience had to say…

Effua was a pleasure to watch. The children were engaged throughout.
KS1 Teacher

I thought the best part of the session was when we learnt about all the Ghanaian names and parts of Africa. It could help if we ever go there.

Pupils were totally absorbed and enjoyed playing roles and participating in the stories.

The best poem was the one about the refugees, because it explain additional reasons for becoming a refugee.

Effua has helped us make our ‘Reading is Fundamental’ events a great success. She entertains our school assemblies of up to 180 culturally diverse children aged 5 to 11 on a regular basis. She has real rapport with the children and is a prinicpal contributor to the success of every project we deliver.

Very enthusiastic, engaging storytelling. The children were in stitches. It was a really enjoyable morning.
Reception Class Teacher
Snaresbrook Primary School ~ South Woodford
Effua Daniels is amazing! Our children love her dynamic stories and always sit up straighter when they realise that Effua will be leading the assembly. From Reception to Year 6 – everyone joins in and has a wonderful time.

I love Effua’s stories. I normally talk in assembly but not when Effua is doing them!

Effua has delivered a variety of courses to our foster carers in the London Borough of Haringey. Foster carers particularly like the way Effua ‘brings to life’ the essence of her subject and as a result of her training courses, carers have returned home to re-look at aspects of the way they care for children e.g. I have seen effective and meaningful results in the way some carers now gather and present memories for babies and young children who will be moving on. Effua has always been helpful and flexible in planning and designing courses that fit in with the ‘National Minimum Fostering Standards’ and also the time-tabling of our training programme. We look forward to working more with Effua in the future.
